Aloha and Zen, Talk by Norma Wong Roshi

Daikozen-ji welcomes Norma Ryuko Kawelokū Wong Roshi, a visiting Zen teacher from Hawaiʻi, for an evening exploring the connection between Aloha and Zen. Her talk will be followed by a Q&A. All are welcome.

Wong Roshi is a Native Hawaiian and Hakka Chinese lifelong resident of Hawaiʻi. She has trained in the Chozen-ji lineage for more than 40 years and is the Abbot of Anko-in, serving practice communities in Hawaiʻi, the continental U.S., and Toronto, Canada. She has spent decades applying Indigenous and Zen values to public service and community leadership in support of transformational change. She is the author ofWho We Are Becoming Matters and When No Thing Works and the host of The Horizon Story podcast.
